Transverse Pressure and Strangeness Dynamics in Relativistic Heavy Ion Reactions
نویسنده
چکیده
Transverse hadron spectra from proton-proton, proton-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions from 2 AGeV to 21.3 ATeV are investigated within two independent transport approaches (HSD and UrQMD). For central Au+Au (Pb+Pb) collisions at energies above Elab ∼ 5 AGeV, the measured K transverse mass spectra have a larger inverse slope parameter than expected from the default calculations. The additional pressure as suggested by lattice QCD calculations at finite quark chemical potential μq and temperature T might be generated by strong interactions in the early pre-hadronic/partonic phase of central Au+Au (Pb+Pb) collisions. This is supported by a non-monotonic energy dependence of v2/〈pT 〉 in the present transport model. Transverse Pressure and Strangeness Dynamics in Relativistic Heavy Ion Reactions 2

Relativistic hydrodynamics with strangeness production
The relativistic hydrodynamic approach is used to describe production of strangeness and/or heavy quarks in ultrarelativistic heavy ion reactions. Production processes are important ingredients of dissipative effects in the hadronic liquid. Beyond viscosity also chemoand thermo-diffusion processes are considered. This also allows to specify chemical and thermal freeze-out conditions. Submitted ...
متن کاملAnisotropic fluid dynamics in the early stage of relativistic heavy - ion collisions ⋆
A formalism for anisotropic fluid dynamics is proposed. It is designed to describe boost-invariant systems with anisotropic pressure. Such systems are expected to be produced at the early stages of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, when the timescales are too short to achieve equal thermalization of transverse and longitudinal degrees of freedom. The approach is based on the energy-momentum an...
متن کاملStrangeness Production in Relativistic Heavy Ion Experiments
The role of Strangeness as a signal of the Quark Gluon Plasma in relativistic heavy ion experiments is discussed. The current experimental status is briefly presented. Several scenarios which explain the CERN data are discussed.
متن کاملDibaryons with strangeness: their weak nonleptonic decay using SU(3) symmetry and how to find them in relativistic heavy-Ion collisions
Weak SU(3) symmetry is successfully applied to the weak hadronic decay amplitudes of octet hyperons. Weak nonmesonic and mesonic decays of various dibaryons with strangeness, their dominant decay modes, and lifetimes are calculated. Production estimates for the Brookhaven Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider are presented employing wave-function coalescence. Signals for detecting strange dibaryon st...
متن کاملHigh pt pions as probes of the dense phase of relativistic heavy ion collisions.
The properties of pions from the hot and dense reaction stage of relativistic heavy ion collisions are investigated with the Quantum Molecular Dynamics model. Pions originating from this reactions stage stem from resonance decay with enhanced mass. They carry high transverse momenta. The calculation shows a direct correlation between high p t pions, early freeze out times and high freeze out de...
